Contents | Alcohol - a stimulant or an addictive substance? From enjoyment, to abuse of alcohol, to habituation, to addiction - that is the course of addiction. But what lies behind the individual phases? Are the transitions really gradual and what drinking quantities are "normal"? Are women more at risk than men or are they perhaps even better at breaking down alcohol? Why do alcopops in particular keep coming into the public eye? These and other topics determine the content of the information event. It is about how stressful or annoying life situations can be dealt with without the consumption of alcohol and drugs: What else could I do out of sheer boredom rather than getting drunk and escaping the dull everyday life...! What alternative actions do I have and what alternative actions do others have that I might also like? Why is it worth giving them a try? |

Contents | Cannabis is the most popular illegal drug in Germany and was long considered harmless. However, cannabis is no longer what it used to be, as the active ingredient content of THC, the substance that triggers intoxication, has multiplied in recent decades, meaning that the health risks have also increased massively. Research results show that regular consumption of hashish and marijuana can cause permanent damage. The relevance for everyday life, especially for school, training and work, is obvious: the ability to control devices, drive, read texts, the length of concentrative work phases and learning are impaired. It is therefore highly problematic to describe cannabis as a soft or even harmless drug. The lecturer will give an insight into the latest results of cannabis research, taking into account social and legal aspects. |
